During the past decade, he has been
involved in city and district master planning, density control
planning, preservation planning, city facilities planning, CBD master
planning, historical district planning, and various planning in other
specialized areas. Since 2003, he has been in charge of organizing the
International Competition in the Former British and French Colonial
Districts in the city of Tianjin; Historical Preservation Planning in
the city of Tianjin; Contemporary Historical Tourism Strategy Planning;
Conceptual Planning for Binhai New City; Regional Development Planning
for the Rural Area of Binhai; Master Planning for the Binhai High-Tech
Industry Park in the City of Tianjin; Waterfront Development Planning
for the City of Tianjin, among other areas. Currently, he is organizing
and managing the master plan of development limits for the City of
Binhai.
Mr.
Zhu is the director of TianJin Urban Planning & Design Institute at
Binhai. He is a certified senior city planner and state city planner.
He was a visiting scholar in the Department of City and Regional
Planning at University of California at Berkeley. He received his BA in
College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tianjin University.
