He had broad-ranging professional
experience as a senior urban designer or a project manager in China
before he came to the US. The numerous practical projects he
participated in included urban design, site planning, large scale land
planning, downtown revitalization, campus master planning, waterfronts
design, commercial mixed use, sustainable design, community/resort
planning, graphic communications, general plan & urban system
planning, regional growth management, regulatory planning, etc. Several
projects he participated in as a lead project designer won the top
honor or Honorable Prizes.
Mr.
Tao is a principal of ISDPlanning. He received his Master’s degrees in
Urban Design from the University of California, Berkeley and another
Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Design from Tsinghua University,
China, where he also received his Bachelor’s degree in Architect.
