Through her professional practice
and educational training, she has gained a solid foundation in theories
and practices of regional sustainable economic development,
neighborhood and community planning, affordable housing design and
development, urban design, land use planning, finance, public and
private negotiations. She specializes in regional sustainable economic
development, revitalizing neighborhoods and communities, land use,
affordable housing, urban design and cross-cultural consulting.
Ms. Yang is the founder of ISDPlanning, also a fouder of Sustainable Pacific Rim Cities --
a Berkeley based non-profit organization. She received her Master’s
degree in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University, and an MA
in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. She also trained in
urban design and city planning at the University of California,
Berkeley. She trained as an economist in China.
